Privacy Information for California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) requires us, in our capacity as a “business” under the CCPA, to provide you with the following additional information about:
the purpose for which we use each category of “personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) we collect; and
the categories of third parties to which we (a) disclose such personal information for a business purpose, (b) “share” personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising,” and/or (c) “sell” such personal information.
Under the CCPA, “sharing” is defined as the targeting of advertising to a consumer based on that consumer’s personal information obtained from the consumer’s activity across distinct online services, and “selling” is defined as the disclosure of personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. Our use of third-party analytics services and online advertising services may result in the sharing of online identifiers (e.g., cookie data, IP addresses, device identifiers, and usage information) in a way that may be considered a “sale” under the CCPA.
The chart below summarizes how we collect, use and share personal information by reference to the statutory categories specified in the CCPA. Categories in the chart refer to the categories described above in the general section of this Policy.
| Statutory Category of Personal Information (PI) | Purpose of Collection | Categories of third parties to whom we "disclose" the PI for a business purpose | Categories of third parties to whom we "sell" or "share" PI |
|---|---|---|---|

| Inferences (i.e., information we derive about your preferences based on your activity on the Services and interactions with us) | Operate the Service; research & development; marketing and promotional communications; legal compliance; fraud prevention & safety | Affiliates; Service Providers; governmental authorities and others | Online Analytics Partners |
Your California privacy rights. Please see the “Your Rights and Choices” section above for the rights you have under applicable law.
Your Choices Regarding “Sharing” and “Selling”
You have the right to opt out of our sale of your personal information for purposes of online analytics by clicking the “Customize” link on our website footer. Your opt out choice will apply only to the particular device and browser on which you are making the choice, so please repeat your opt out choice on other browsers and devices if you would like. Please note that we will also honor browser-based opt out signals (such as the global privacy control) in accordance with our legal obligations.
Other CCPA rights
Right to Limit. The CCPA allows you to limit the use or disclosure of your “sensitive personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) if your sensitive personal information is used for certain purposes. Please note that we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information other than for business purposes for which you cannot opt out under the CCPA.
For clarity, while we collect account credentials (usernames and passwords) , which are technically classified as "sensitive personal information" under the CCPA, we strictly use and disclose these identifiers to authenticate your account, maintain security, and prevent fraud. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would trigger a consumer's right to limit under California law.
Notice Concerning Do Not Track. Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information collected on our website for third-party purposes, which is why we describe a variety of opt-out mechanisms above. However, we do not currently recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals. Please note that DNT is different from the browser-based privacy signal (the global privacy control) referred to above, which we do honor.
Shine the Light. The California “Shine the Light” law gives residents of California the right under certain circumstances to opt out of the disclosure of certain categories of “personal information” (as defined in the Shine the Light law) to third parties for their “direct marketing purposes” (as such term is defined in the Shine the Light law, or in the alternative, that we maintain a policy of providing a cost-free means for consumers to opt out of any such disclosure. We do not currently disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. To opt out of “sales” as defined under the CCPA, see the “Your Choices Regarding “Sharing” and “Selling” section above.
