Document-family completeness
Ask: “Which records are required to answer this question, and what is missing?” Request a visible family of master agreements, orders, schedules and amendments. Include a deliberately absent schedule in the evaluation. A platform should not present a complete governing position when a material source is unavailable.
Entity and relationship resolution
Ask how supplier aliases, contracting entities and product names are connected. Request the original labels, mapping evidence and a review path for uncertain matches. Test similar names that should not be merged. The objective is an inspectable relationship, not just a normalized name.
Partial amendments
Ask what changes and what remains in force when an amendment replaces only one schedule or service price. Request a view of both changed and preserved provisions. An illustrative price change should not erase unrelated notice, usage or other terms from the review context.
Effective dates and scope
Ask for the position on a date before and after a change. Request separate signature and effective dates plus affected entity, service or transaction scope. Include a billing period spanning the change. The evaluation should expose assumptions rather than silently applying the newest file to every period.
Operating-record connections
Ask how the governing position connects to an invoice, subscription, entitlement or other relevant record. Request a traceable mapping and the accountable owner for uncertain matches. A document answer alone does not demonstrate that the operating question has been resolved.
Evidence behind the answer
Ask reviewers to follow each material statement to its source. Request specific references and a distinction between supported facts, interpretations and open questions. Test whether another person can reproduce the review without relying on a polished narrative or a presenter’s explanation.
Approved access
Ask what a user or assistant can access and how that boundary is enforced in the proposed workflow. Request a demonstration using appropriate test roles and non-sensitive records. Access to evidence is not authority to approve, pay or execute; assess those controls separately.
Unresolved records and ongoing ownership
Ask what happens when documents conflict, evidence arrives late or a mapping is corrected. Request an exception path, named stewardship responsibilities and change history. Include a second review after the record set changes.
Use the same bounded scenarios across the approaches being considered. Record observed evidence and limitations rather than assigning unsupported rankings. LineageAI and CPM provide PostSig product context for these questions; the appropriate choice depends on your records, operating responsibilities and acceptance criteria.
